Lunar Orbit takes us into the Ultraworld of the pioneers of ambient house music. Patrick Buchanan's feature documentary explores The Orb's unique creative process and delves into the story behind the music, revealing the history of The Orb's origins and the foundation of the friendships which anchor the mothership.
The film is a blend of live concert footage, rare unseen archive material and unprecedented studio access from the duo’s Moonbuilding 2703AD recording sessions in Berlin. It features interviews with key creative players; Youth, Guy Pratt, Mixmaster Morris, Matt Black, and many other current and former members of the Orb's extended family. The result in a film that is truly Orb-riginal.

The Orb have changed the musical landscape and have defied perception. As pioneers of electronica, they were the innovators of ambient house, a mix of acid house and ambient music. Their seminal ground breaking 1991 album “The Orb’s Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld” has been widely recognized as one of the truly great electronic albums of all time. The Orb is Alex Paterson - although he never works alone. Alex doesn’t consider himself a musician, he’s a DJ. “I don’t particularly want to pick up an instrument, I want to pick up all these sounds and make musical notes”. He got his start in music as a roadie for the legendary post punk band Killing Joke before forming his own label WAU Mr. Modo with lifelong friend and longtime Orb collaborator Youth. He co founded The Orb in 1988 with The KLF’s Jimmy Cauty. Swiss composer/producer Thomas Fehlmann is the other half of the current Orb lineup -now creating and touring as a duo. As an art student in Hamburg his encounters with Conrad Schnitzler and Robert Fripp in 1979 encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He and Alex have worked together since 1990 and Thomas has been a member of The Orb since 1995.

Jerry Lundegaard is a car salesman in Minneapolis who has gotten himself into debt and is so desperate for money that he hires two thugs to kidnap his own wife. Jerry then plans to collect the ransom from her wealthy father, paying the thugs a small portion and keeping the rest to satisfy his debts.
The scheme collapses when the thugs shoot a state trooper and two innocent bystanders in rural Minnesota, drawing local Police Chief Marge Gunderson into her first homicide investigation. At first unaware that the homicides are connected to a Minneapolis kidnapping, Chief Gunderson draws closer to Jerry Lundegaard as his situation further unravels.

Sirkuslistamennirnir fimm eru allir í fremstu röð sirkuslistamanna, hafa komið fram með heimsþekktum sirkusum á borð við Cirque Du Soleil og Cirkus Cirkör, rannsakað og miðlað sirkuslistinni í gegnum kennslu, vinsæla TEDx-fyrirlestra og meira og fleira. 5 jugglers and one musician collaborate on a presentation of live visual music. ensemble object manipulation is led by jay gilligan, who is a professional juggler based in stockholm, sweden. jay is the author of an extremely popular TEDx talk about the history of juggling rings, and will direct a graphical representation of the music during the performance.
brian crabtree is the creator behind monome: a company which designs and builds adaptable, minimalist, and open source interfaces. he is also an accomplished multi-media artist who will provide a living soundtrack for the group's festivities. brian's music includes patterns and structures which closely mimic the mathematics of pure juggling notation.
