Himbrimi started summer 2014 by the idea of Birkir Rafn and his girlfriend Margrét Rúnarsdóttir. They added to the line up; Hálfdán (Mukkaló, MAgnús Leifur), Skúli (Elín Helena), Egill (Sign). Since then they have released two singles that have both had good airplay on Icelandic radio and made it into the charts, the later single ‘tearing’ has been on radioX top 20 for over 3 months. Late 2015 they plan on releasing an EP.
Axel Flóvent is a musician hailing from the northern fishing village of Húsavík. At the age of 19 Axel has already spent a few years creating his own music and performing in Húsavík as well as all over Iceland by himself and as a part of his bands. His music can be described as modern folk music. At its core it´s acoustic and low key but bears obvious influences from other forms of music such as indie rock, pop and electronic music. Keeping in the vein of modern folk singers Axel has been active writing and recording his own songs and has a numerous online releases available.

In just three years, Kælan Mikla have established themselves as the coolest nihilist punks of Iceland. Dishing out spoken-word poems that wallow in serene sorrow to the tune of a thumping bass and an electrifying synth, they are not to be missed.
