To celebrate the 80th birthday of the famous composer Arvo Pärt, the Reykjavik Chamber Orchestra will be performing his works in Langholtskirkja.

Kór Langholtskirkju performs pieces by two Norwegian composers, Ola Gjeilo and Knut Nystedt. Ola Gjeilo is known for a fantasia-like approach to his choral compositions, including his ‘Northern Lights’, a piece most befitting an Icelandic choir. Knut Nystedt, who has a more classical and yet progressive style, would have turned 100 years old this September.
