EVE Fanfest brings players and developers together for three incredible days in beautiful Reykjavik, Iceland. The greatest community event in gaming will celebrate CCP's 20th anniversary with amazing presentations, exclusive reveals, tournaments, parties and player camaraderie. EVE Fanfest 2017 is set to take place April 6-8, 2017 at the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre in downtown Reykjavik, Iceland, the birthplace of EVE Online, home of the EVE Online development team and the Worlds Within Worlds monument to EVE capsuleers.

Framtíðarþing um farsæl efri ár í Reykjanesbæ verður haldið á Nesvöllum fimmtudaginn 6. apríl kl. 15:00 - 18:00. Markmið þingsins er að skapa umræðu meðal áhugasamra um öldrunarmál, draga fram væntingar, viðhorf og hugmyndir um hvernig stuðla megi að farsælum efri árum íbúa í Reykjanesbæ. Unnið verður út frá þjóðfundarfyrirkomulagi.

Óskað er eftir þátttakendum úr eftirfarandi hópum:

• Starfsfólk sem tengist
öldrunarmálum
Boðið er upp á veitingar.
Niðurstöður þingsins verða afhentar Reykjanesbæ sem innlegg í stefnumótunarvinnu í málaflokknum.

Á efnisskrá er tónlist af væntanlegri plötu fyrir kontrabassa og rafhljóð.

Fimmtudagskvöldið 6. apríl klukkan 21 kemur kontrabassaleikarinn og tónskáldið Borgar Magnason fram í Mengi og flytur eigin tónlist þar sem bassinn og margbreytileg rafhljóð mynda meginuppstöðuna í hljóðvefnaðinum.
Borgar hefur komið víða við á tónlistarferli sínum, samið tónlist fyrir leikhús, dansverk, kvikmyndir og myndlistarinnsetningar, starfað með tónlistarmönnum svo sem Valgeiri Sigurðssyni, Ben Frost, Howie B, Damien Rice, Nico Muhly og Puzzle Muteseon svo einhverjir séu nefndir auk fjölda listamanna úr öðrum geirum en má þar nefna Gabríelu Friðriksdóttur, Húbert Nóa og Guy Maddin.
Borgar hefur tekið virkan þátt í flutningi nýrrar tónlistar úr ólíkum áttum auk þess sem sígild tónlist hefur skipað sess á verkefnalista hans.
Þess má geta að tónsmíðarnar sem hljómar í Mengi annað kvöld munu koma út á væntanlegri plötu Borgars sem nú er í vinnslu.

Borgar Magnason is an Icelandic double bass player and composer. His musical interests range from improvised and experimental music to traditional classical music, from solo recitals of cutting edge contemporary music to collaborations with artists from other genres.
Magnason started his carreer as a thoroughly classical double bass player, playing in various orchestras and ensembles on both sides of the atlantic a.o. Amsterdam Sinfonietta and L´Orchestra National de Belgique. While living in NYC he held position of teaching assistant at both the Julliard School and Mannes college, teaching interpretation in contemporary music.
His love for the sonic capabilities of the double bass gradually led him towards experimental music and composition, creating sound tracks for theater and contemporary dance. He also has a soft spot for creating music to visual mediums of all kinds and has collaborated extensively in that capacity with a.o. film maker Guy Maddin, Dutch video artists 33 1/3, Húbert Nói, the Italian art duo Masbedo and Gabríela Friðriksdóttir.
Magnasons wide interest in music takes him to widely disparate musical collaborations, from writing orchestral arrangements for Andrea Bocelli to adding his signature bass drones to the music of Sigurrós.
He has collaborated, played and recorded with other artists such as Howie B, Ben Frost, Damien Rice, Nico Muhly, Brian Eno, Elisa Toffoli, Björk, Ane Brun, Valgeir Sigurdsson, Vittorio Cosma, Puzzle Muteson and Daníel Bjarnason.
As a composer he has written music for plays, dance performances and films, pieces for chamber ensembles of various combinations as well as the award winning music-theater piece Blink Of An Eye.
In his concert at Mengi he´ll be presenting new compositions for double bass and electronics from an upcoming album.
