Arnljótur Sigurðsson is an Icelandic musician straight outta Reykjavík. When he’s not playing chess, or reggae with his band Obja Rasta, he’s making some pretty sweet ambient-soaked beats under his solo act, Arnljótur. He’ll playing a mix of new and old material, including this year’s album, ‘Til Einkis’.
Hardcore bros In The Company Of Men will rock Dillon out on June 11. Come headbang, mosh, and create a general ruckus. This will be just like that time that the Dillinger Escape Plan played the Virgin Megastore in 2005.
Looking for some harmony? Look no further, brother, ’cause Gaukurinn is having an open jam sess on June 11. The bar will provide drums, a guitar and vocal mics, but feel free to bring more obscure instruments, like that vintage mandolin you play ‘Stairway to Heaven’ on.
A select group of percussionists will play improvised music for an hour as a part of Mengi’s “Third Hour.”
Steindor is a pretty good DJ, playing a mixture of house, techno, and disco tracks. Get vibey.
Come get jazzy and also funky.
Ah Troubadour Roland of the land of Gilead. While by day, he searches the wastelands of Iceland for that rumored Dark Tower, by night he occasionally sings covers at the Dubliner. Perhaps Eddie and Susanna will show up as well.
